If you are a clinician in private practice, it’s smart to invest in some expert consultation when you realize that your client may be experiencing signs of serious mental illness. As the founder and former director of a state-wide psychosis learning network and current director of psychological services for a large psychosis clinic, I can provide as-needed supervision and consultation for tricky cases. I can also assist with referrals when that is the appropriate course of action. I also provide programmatic consultation to mental health organizations expanding their psychosis and serious mental illness services.

I have developed a no-frills curriculum that explains the fundamental philosophy and techniques of motivational interviewing to individuals of all backgrounds, peer counselors to physicians to organizational leaders. Sample offerings include:
60 minute introduction to MI
6-hour MI Basics, tailored for your setting
8-hour MI Basics with enhanced practice and feedback
60 minute MI refresher and practice
I’ve provided MI training to governmental organizations such as the United Southern and Eastern Tribes, Inc. and the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health as well as community non-profits. Contact me for pricing.
